Up for auction is the actual trophy that was presented to the Syracuse University Football Team after winning their 300th Game in program history. The gold nameplate reads "1957 Syracuse Recorded the 300th win in the Program's History with 26-9 Victory over Nebraska". The trophy measures 16 inches tall and was obtained many years ago by Ger Schwedes (from former team trainer Al Zak), the Captain of the 1959 Championship team. Schwedes signed this trophy on the back in silver marker and inscribed "Obtained from Al Zak". This signature is JSA authenticated. There is some light wear to the football, otherwise the trophy is in terrific condition. This piece would be the cornerstone of any Syracuse football memorabilia collection as you cannot find this one-of-a-kind trophy anywhere else. This trophy is a true vintage piece of Syracuse Orange football.
