"In this lot: A black Louisville Slugger bat, autographed by Alex Rodriguez. The bat is hand-signed on the barrel in silver felt-tip marker. Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. He was a fourteen-time All Star, the American League MVP three times, and closed out his career in 2016 with a .295 batting average, 3,115 hits, 696 home runs and 2,086 RBIs. During the 2015 season, A-Rod led the Yankees in home runs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, on-base plus slugging, and bases-on-balls. Rodriguez reached 30+ home runs for the 15th time in his career, tying Aaron for the most 30-home-run seasons in history."

John Hirschbeck is a former umpire for Major League Baseball. He worked in the American League from 1984 to 1999 and worked in both leagues from 2000 to 2016. He was a crew chief at the time of his retirement and wore uniform number 17 throughout his career. In 2000, Hirschbeck was elected as the first president of the newly certified World Umpires Association, a position he held until 2009.
