"Offered here is a black Louisville Slugger P72 wood bat, autographed by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. The bat is hand-signed on the barrel in silver felt-tip marker. Cal Ripken Jr., the “Iron Man,” played 21 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles. Ripken compiled 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, and 1,695 runs batted in during his career, and won two Gold Glove Awards for defense. He was a 19-time All-Star and was twice named American League MVP. Ripken holds the record for consecutive games played, 2,632, surpassing Lou Gehrig's streak of 2,130, a record that stood for 56 years. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, his first year of eligibility."

John Hirschbeck is a former umpire for Major League Baseball. He worked in the American League from 1984 to 1999 and worked in both leagues from 2000 to 2016. He was a crew chief at the time of his retirement and wore uniform number 17 throughout his career. In 2000, Hirschbeck was elected as the first president of the newly certified World Umpires Association, a position he held until 2009.
