This New York Yankees jersey was game worn by Derek Jeter on March 31st, 2004 in Japan. Jeter autographed it and inscribed "Game Used Japan 3-31-04". Jeter recorded one hit in three at-bats against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Yankees won this game 12-1. The Yankees and Devil Rays opened the 2004 season with a two-game series on March 30th and 31st at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. This was only the 2nd time the MLB had played a series in Japan. In 2004 Jeter hit .292 with 23 homeruns and 78 RBIs. His 23 homeruns were the 2nd most he had in any season during his career. This jersey is pretty clean but the coloration shows that it has been used. Jeter's number 2 and the MLB logo are stitched on the back. The Yankees famously do not have name's on their jerseys. They are the only team in baseball to not have name's on both their home and road jerseys.
