This Yankee Stadium base is game used from July 21st, 2009. Derek Jeter signed and inscribed 2,644 Career Hit 7-21-09. Mariano signed and inscribed 509 Career Save 7/21/09. The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles 6-4. Derek Jeter went 1-3 at the plate and Mariano Rivera threw a 1-2-3 9th to earn the save. The base is covered in dirt smears, as seen in the photo above. This piece measures approximately 23x27 inches framed. The Yankees had a stellar season in their first year at the New Yankee Stadium in 2009, winning their 27th World Series Championship in franchise history. Jeter and Rivera are two of the most iconic players in Yankees franchise history. They were both inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in back-to-back years in 2019 and 2020. This piece is accompanied by a Steiner Sports certificate of authenticity for the Jeter and Rivera signatures.
