He was integral in helping to popularize the National Basketball Association around the world in the 1980s and 1990s, becoming a global cultural icon in the process. Jordan's incredible list of achievements includes six NBA Finals MVP Awards, five NBA MVP Awards, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, ten scoring titles, and ten All-NBA First Team selections. Jordan also is a Gold Medal Olympian. He is the first billionare athlete in sports history.
