This ball is signed beautifully by the Greatest Player of All Time, Michael Jordan. He also played Minor League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox.  Jordan surprised the sports world by signing a Minor League contract with the Chicago White Sox on February 7, 1994. He reported to spring training in Sarasota, Florida, and was assigned to the team's minor league system on March 31, 1994. Jordan has said this decision was made to pursue the dream of his late father, who had always envisioned his son as a Major League Baseball player. The White Sox were owned by Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf, who continued to honor Jordan's basketball contract during the years he played baseball.

John Hirschbeck is a former umpire for Major League Baseball. He worked in the American League from 1984 to 1999 and worked in both leagues from 2000 to 2016. He was a crew chief at the time of his retirement and wore uniform number 17 throughout his career. In 2000, Hirschbeck was elected as the first president of the newly certified World Umpires Association, a position he held until 2009.
